COACH

Michelle a.k.a “Coach Toyo” has been involved in sports as early as memory serves. Much of her youth was spent competing on the soccer field and basketball court. Her love for the game of basketball continued into high school and evolved to her finding a passion for coaching local girls’ youth leagues.

After college, Michelle continued playing in intramural leagues and spent a handful of years working for the Seattle SuperSonics. Upon her return to Southern California, Michelle craved something more than the basic globo gym. She found CrossFit in 2011 and immediately fell in love with the friendly community and culture. The excitement of competition drives Michelle as she has participated in various CrossFit and Olympic weightlifting meets.

Michelle credits CrossFit for helping her stay active through pregnancy and postpartum. As a mother of two, her perspective on health and fitness has changed with limited free time and lack of sleep:) She enjoys helping clients, especially mothers, create healthy sustainable lifestyles both mentally and physically. As a coach, her passion for health and wellness lies in encouraging members to find their inner strength and to create the life they want to live. Helping others find happiness and feel good about themselves is what Michelle strives for.
